About Sonya
My name is Mrs Sonya Facey. I love singing, dancing and watching detective films. I have been teaching since 2005. My love of teaching children developed in the church that I belong to. I have been a leader in our primary and youth programme and I felt the overwhelming desire to teach for a living to be able to have a positive influence in the lives of children from all walks of life. I easily develop a good rapport with my students and they quickly come to realize I take their feelings and thoughts seriously. I want children to succeed and I try to instill the desire to succeed within them when they feel they cannot do it.

My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of students. I will listen to their concerns and their difficulties and will plan lessons that focus on their weaknesses to make them their strengths. I will incorporate ICT such as PPT and videos to help enhance my lessons. Further more it will also include assessments to not only show progress but also to help highlight what pupils need to work on to increase their ability to succeed. My expectations for my students will be for them to take their lessons, with me, seriously although there will be room for humour as we get to know each other. I know I have the ability to bring the best out of students to help ensure they get the best results to secure their future in the world of academia and work.
