Meet Prathmesh Waliwadekar — CA Finalist | MBA Finance | 12 Years Industry Experience
When it comes to accounting and finance, there is a significant difference between a tutor who has read the theory and one who has lived it. I am proud to be the latter.
My name is Prathmesh — widely known as Pats — and I bring over 12 years of hands-on professional experience in finance, accounting, and audit across three continents. I have worked within a Big 4-affiliated audit and tax firm in Mumbai, served as Chief Accountant at an internationally recognized resort in Zanzibar, and I am currently completing my MBA in Finance at Dublin Business School, deepening my expertise in corporate finance, strategy, and sustainable business management.
As a CA Finalist with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, I hold one of the most rigorous professional accounting qualifications in the world. That foundation, combined with my real-world industry experience, means every lesson I deliver is grounded in professional standards, current practice, and genuine insight — not just textbook theory.
I understand what it takes to master this subject because I have been through the examinations, the late-night study sessions, and the pressure of high-stakes assessments myself. That experience makes me a more patient, more empathetic, and more effective tutor.

Techniques & Teaching Methodology
I believe accounting and finance only click when you connect numbers to real life. My approach is built on three pillars:
1. Story-First Learning
Every concept starts with a real-world story — from my time auditing in Mumbai, managing resort budgets in Zanzibar, or analyzing corporate financials during my MBA in Ireland. When you understand why a concept exists, the how becomes much easier.
2. Build → Apply → Test
I follow a simple three-step method:
Build the concept from scratch in plain English
Apply it through worked examples and practice questions
Test your understanding before we move on — no student gets left behind
3. Visual & Structured Notes
I use diagrams, flowcharts, and structured summaries so you always have something clear to revise from. No messy scribbles — just clean, logical frameworks.
📝 Typical Lesson Length
Sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the topic and your needs. I always leave the last 10 minutes for questions, recap, and a quick plan for next time. Shorter 45-minute revision sessions are also available closer to exams.
