Teaching Experience
I am an experienced tutor and qualified teacher. I have taught mathematics at all levels of secondary school. As a teacher, I am able to identify misunderstandings and misconceptions in a student`s understanding, and am able to adapt a lesson in real time.
I have read papers and completed research on the best practises to teach areas of mathematics which student`s commonly struggle (e.g. probability, vectors, trigonometry). I have a very good understanding of mathematical concepts and am able to explain these concepts, with examples, in various ways until the student is confident. I understand that students have different preferences as to what helps them learn and due to this I dedicate time to prepare lessons and tailor them specifically to each person.
Students I have taught in the past have said they enjoy my lessons, appreciate the help I provide them and have said their grades have improved because of my tutoring. I enjoy teaching mathematics and this comes across during my lessons. I am friendly, positive, patient and always welcome questions.
