I've been studying Polish with Anna for the past four years. I started from zero. Anna has been an amazing teacher all this period. She prepares in advance for every single class. I have been Anna’s student for five years, first as a part of an in-person class, then in 1:1 remote tutoring since 2020. I’ve learned so much from her. Polish is a very difficult language to pick up for native English speakers, but I have been able to successfully navigate long trips and big social situations in Poland for several years now thanks to these lessons. As time has gone on and my understanding grew, she has demonstrated that she is capable of teaching students across many levels of competency.
During the lessons, we use conversation and various textbooks as well as her own original materials. Her guidance and breadth of knowledge of linguistics is absolutely essential to really getting it.

I started learning Polish in October 2016. Anna is my third teacher, and definitely the best! She has helped me so much, especially with oral communication and pronunciation. Always patient and good-humoured (even when I forget something I learnt last week), she explains grammatical rules very clearly and that’s important to me because I want to understand the structure of the language. She has great enthusiasm for Polish culture as well as language, and finds interesting texts to read or listen to.

What I like best is that Anna’s lessons are always carefully planned and structured, with the appropriate materials to meet my specific needs - we don’t just work through one chapter in a book and then move on to the next. If I have a problem, Anna will find new ways of explaining the point or new exercises for revision. Learning Polish is a challenge, but thanks to Anna it’s hugely enjoyable and rewarding – she constantly provides the inspiration and encouragement I need to take the next steps.
