About Jemma
My name is Jemma and I've been teaching for sometime now. I'm a very calm and friendly person who has a passion for learning and enjoys sharing that with those around me. I’m a very patient and understanding person that believes education thrives in a nurturing and safe environment. I am a very resourceful and reflective person. I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn but everyone’s journey looks different. I like to make learning fun and engaging for the both of us. It's really important to me that our sessions are built on the foundations of trust and respect, building your confidence and self-esteem is fundamental to our success.

I have a degree in Special Needs and Inclusive Education and spent the first 5 years of my teaching career in a SEN School setting. I have a vast amount of experience with ASD and was a Structured Teach Based Trainer in Outer London where I was lucky enough to teach/train a variety of amazing staff and parents.
Later I moved onto working in a nurture based classroom which worked with schools, families and children in supporting children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. It was here that I furthered my knowledge by attending a number of training courses to support a variety of needs which include, but are not limited to; ADHD, ADD, ODD, PDA and attachment.

My lessons take place online, so I try to make my sessions as visually engaging as possible without overwhelming the individual.
