About Camilla
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl because I have always loved helping others. After 15 years of teaching in English primary schools, that passion is still at the heart of everything I do. I love seeing children discover that they are capable of more than they thought and watching their confidence grow as they begin to understand something that once felt difficult.
Throughout my career, I have worked with children with a wide range of abilities, strengths and learning needs. My experience as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) has given me a strong understanding of the different barriers that can affect a child's learning and the importance of finding the right approach for each individual child.
I am a caring, patient and approachable teacher. I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, so I create a positive learning environment where they feel supported rather than under pressure. I give clear, encouraging feedback and celebrate progress, while also challenging children appropriately so they continue to develop.
I also love learning myself. Since moving to Spain with my family, I have been learning Spanish and experiencing the challenges of being a language learner first-hand. It has reminded me how important patience, encouragement and celebrating small steps can be when learning something new.
I am committed to making every learning experience purposeful, positive and enjoyable. Whether your child needs a little extra help with their schoolwork, support with homework or simply someone to help them feel more confident in their abilities, I would love to support them.
I look forward to getting to know your child and helping them become a confident, independent and successful learner.

My approach to tutoring is supportive, encouraging and personalised to each child. I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, understood and confident enough to ask questions. I take time to find out what your child already knows, identify any gaps in their learning and build from there at a pace that works for them.
I use clear explanations, questioning, visual resources, practical activities and plenty of opportunities to practise new skills. I adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles and abilities, making sure that children understand *why* they are doing something rather than simply memorising an answer.
For homework support, I encourage children to become more independent learners. Rather than doing the work for them, I guide them through the task, explain anything they are unsure about and give them strategies they can use independently in the future.
I am a qualified primary teacher with 15 years' experience teaching in English primary schools. I have taught across the primary age range and have extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of abilities and learning needs. My experience as a SENDCo has also given me a strong understanding of how to adapt teaching so that every child can access and enjoy their learning.
I offer online 1:1 academic tuition and homework support for primary-aged children, approximately ages 5–12. Support is available across primary English and Maths, as well as general schoolwork and homework.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I can adapt the length for younger children or those who benefit from shorter, more focused sessions.
My aim is not only to help children complete their schoolwork, but to help them understand, make progress and become more confident and independent learners.
