About Yvonne
I’m a fully qualified primary teacher with 12+ years’ classroom experience, including 5 years as a SENCO. I’ve successfully supported children in KS1-KS2 across mainstream and SEN settings. I specialise in helping pupils build confidence, master essential literacy and numeracy skills, and reach their potential in 11+ exams. I offer focused lessons in: Maths, English, Reading, Phonics, Spelling, Comprehension, and 11+ Verbal/Non-Verbal Reasoning. I also provide tailored support for children with additional needs (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, SEMH, Speech & Language). My teaching style is warm, patient and highly individualised. I use multisensory techniques (visual aids, Cuisenaire rods, word cards, real-life examples) to make learning engaging and accessible. I structure each lesson to include explanation, guided practice, fun activities and regular feedback — helping children learn, improve and feel confident.
