About Ryde Learning Centre
I am a very experienced and knowledgeable female teacher. I taught senior maths, chemistry and biology in NSW for many years before I came to Qld to retire. I also teach junior math and sciences from years 7 to 10. I am very familiar with the Australian curriculum.
I am also a lawyer and have practiced law in NSW and QLD. I have also taught law at university level (in NSW) but also at high school level, I have taught legal studies, economics and commerce and also geography.
I am an older teacher and have the insight that puts me ahead of a younger teacher and therefore I can diagnose learning struggles that a student might have but I am also a fun teacher. I teach Because I love teaching and want to open the young minds of my students to thinking clearly, deeply and more effectively. My math and chemistry lessons are engaging, applied and always filled with tricks and pointers to help my students sharpen their skills. I have many resource material that allow me to convey concepts to you more effectively and address the syllabus outcomes precisely. I am an excellent communicator and know how to put things in concise yet precise terms, as I have had to use those skills in the courtroom when practising law.
My lessons are fun and compact. I am enthusiastic, love learning and teaching and I make sure by the end of the lessons my students are both tired (of thinking and using brain power) and also uplifted (because they gain self assurance and confidence in learning) as if you have been through a mental workout.
