About Lifa
I’m a fully qualified and experienced secondary school teacher with over 10 years of teaching in UK classrooms. I specialise in English, Philosophy, Religion, and Ethics, and currently serve as Head of PSHE and RSE, leading a team of 14 staff, including senior leadership. I’m passionate about education and take great pride in helping students grow in confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and achieve excellent results. Over the years, I’ve supported a wide range of learners, many of whom have gone on to achieve top GCSE grades. I also mentor trainee teachers, helping them to qualify and thrive in the classroom. My lessons are calm, focused, and tailored to the individual, ensuring that every student feels supported, stretched, and heard. I’m a qualified UK secondary school teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience, specialising in English, Philosophy, Religion, and Ethics. I also lead as Head of PSHE and RSE, mentoring staff and supporting students across a wide range of abilities. My tutoring approach is warm, structured, and highly personalised. I focus on building confidence and critical thinking through engaging discussions, clear explanations, and creative tasks. Lessons are designed around each student’s individual needs, whether that’s mastering essay skills, exploring ethical issues, or boosting exam performance. I use active learning methods such as debate, retrieval practice, and scaffolded writing tasks. My students respond well to relatable examples, visual resources, and real-world links. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are suitable for KS3 and GCSE-level students (ages 11–16). I also support students preparing for assessments or needing stretch and challenge beyond the classroom. I believe learning should be inspiring, reflective, and empowering.
