About Rob
Qualified Teacher of GCSE Science and A-level Chemistry. Able to provide necessary techniques to get your son/daughter the results they deserve. Tried and tested methods of teaching. Passionate about my subject. After receiving my first class degree in Chemistry from the University of Manchester, I took a job in industry working as an organic synthetic chemist for a pharmaceutical company. Realising my passion lay in teaching when I started tutoring a friend's daughter, I quickly switched career. Now a teacher with QTS (qualified teacher status) and experience in Loreto Grammar School and King David's High school, two of the highest performing schools in Manchester. Having achieved 5 A* and 4 A in my GCSE and A's in my A-levels (Chemistry, Biology, and Physics), I know first hand the most pain-free route for your son/ daughter to get the results they want. I had my 1st lesson with Rob on the 23rd of May 2021.
Rob has been an excellent teacher throughout . He has been patient with me and he went all the way of making sure I had all the material for the work I needed to learn and revise. :) :) :D
Rob made all my lessons fun and I was able to stay focused. I have ADHD, Dyspraxia and Autism and he met my need. I enjoyed every lesson with him and he made me feel motivated to learn because I found chemistry very hard and boring but he made it fun and exciting.
I strongly recommend Rob for chemistry A-level and AS, as he has boosted my confidence to the max and actually made me realise that chemistry isn’t as bad as it seems. I started to enjoy learning chemistry and I no longer felt like it was a task as I actually wanted to have my lessons and do the revision of the content I learned. The methods he used in teaching has definitely made a positive impact as I was able to actually remember and recall what I had learnt and he kept me engaged and I did not find myself zoning out.
