About Jamie
I failed my A levels when I was younger but knew I had a passion for chemistry. Evenutally I found a HNC in applied chemistry where I studied part time alongside working as a metallurgist and later as a research and development chemist. I passed the HNC with a merit and went on to a part time degree qualification while still working as a research chemist but now specialising in larger scale production. I finally passed my degree with 1st class honours and continued in industry for another year before I decided to do my teacher training to try to help others, not just in chemistry but also show them that even even though grades might not be what you hope for, with hard work and a driven attitude, you can still reach your goals!
