About Martin
My name is Martin Eayrs. I was born in Birmingham, UK, but have worked as a teacher or lecturer in Spain, Finland, México, Venezuela, Argentina and the UK. I have taught and developed courses in primary and secondary schools, in colleges and universities, in private language schools and for the British Council as a teacher and as an educational consultant. I founded and ran for seventeen years a private language school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am now semi-retired from employment but still teach online and carry out other language-related consultancy work.

I have experience teaching in secondary schools, colleges of further and higher education and universities. My lessons are adapted to the level, needs and interest of the learner. In every case I will give a short interview and needs analysis test before devising the course. Lessons will typically be either 50 or 90 mins, given online unless it happens that I and the students live in close proximity. I teach students aged 16 and above only, individually or in small groups. I accept students at a CEFR level of B1+ but specialise in higher levels. I have extensive experience of teaching English for university entry, and have worked as a university lecturer in English for Academic Purposes.
