About Stephen
I'm originally from the UK but have been living in New Zealand since 2009 after completing a PhD (physics) at the University of Glasgow. I enjoyed my time as an experimental physicist but ultimately my passion for teaching led to me completing a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and becoming a secondary school teacher. After a short stint as a school teacher I transitioned into a full-time Physics Tutor position at Massey University, where I taught for 5 years. I am now eager to offer maths and physics tuition online.

My approach is supportive and personalised, aiming to build confidence and a deep understanding of the subject. Lessons are offered entirely online, where I make use of a webcam and shared whiteboard space in addition to setting up an online interactive site for sharing resources and homework personalised for each student.
