About RITU
Hi, I’m Ritu. I am a qualified and registered teacher in New Zealand with a strong passion for Mathematics and teaching. I have a Master of Education from the University of Waikato, a Master of Science in Mathematics, a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science. I have teaching experience in both India and New Zealand, and I really enjoy working with students and helping them understand concepts that may initially seem difficult. I want to tutor because I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement. My aim is not only to help students achieve better results but also to build their confidence and develop a positive attitude towards learning. I enjoy creating a friendly and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace.

I believe in making learning simple, practical, and enjoyable. I first understand each student’s current level, strengths, and areas where they need support, and then plan my lessons according to their individual needs and learning pace. My teaching approach focuses on clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, examples, practice questions, and regular feedback. In mathematics, I focus on helping students understand the concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas, and I encourage them to ask questions and solve problems independently. A typical lesson is around 60 minutes, but I can adjust this depending on the student’s age and needs. I have a Master of Education from the University of Waikato, a Master of Science in Mathematics, a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science with Mathematics. I am also a registered teacher in New Zealand with a Provisional Practising Certificate and Secondary endorsement. I have teaching experience in both India and New Zealand and have worked with students of different ages and abilities. I mainly offer Mathematics tutoring for primary, intermediate, and secondary students, helping them build strong foundations, improve their confidence, prepare for assessments, and understand topics they may find challenging. My goal is to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and become more confident and independent learners.
