About Tamsin
I am a 24 year old South African female traveling the world. For the last year I have taught 1 on 1 conversational English to a special needs child, and I am looking to broaden my horizons to the online EFL community. My experience with TEFL has taught my the patience and resilience necessary to teach even absolute beginners. I have found creative and fun ways to teach that are easily understandable and effective.
I have a variety of non-TEFL related job experience, including accounting, customer service, marketing, administration, and photography.

Want to learn English, but don't know where to begin? Or maybe you just want to refine your speech a little? As we say in English, "There is no time like the present!". Let's start our first lesson right now. Choose any movie from the list below and watch it in English with subtitles in your home language, and we will discuss it in our first meeting. Movies are a fantastic and fun way to improve listening and speaking skills. Your English can improve drastically simply by hearing the language more often. It's okay if you don't understand the movie, we'll get there!

I have a "hands on" approach to my lessons and I am very patient with my students. I'm a native English speaker, and I have some experience learning other languages such as isiZulu, Afrikaans, French, and Greek - however I am only proficient in English. I know how daunting it can be to learn a second language, and I pride myself on providing a safe space for my students to express themselves. I am able to teach conversational English as well as English Literacy (reading and writing) for all levels!
