About Jelka
With over three years of teaching experience and a background as a qualified translator with a Master’s degree, I help learners of all ages and levels build confidence and clarity in English - whether they’re learning the language for the first time, catching up in school, or aiming to express themselves more fluently.
I hold an Bachelor's and Master's degree in Theatre and Performance Studies, both of which have equipped me with strong academic writing skills and a deep understanding of how language works in both creative and analytical contexts.
Having lived and studied in Germany, the UK, and now Canada, I bring a global perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges English learners face. My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals. I believe in creating a learning space where curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are welcomed, and progress is always possible.
