About Luke
I am a Brisbane-based doctor who graduated via direct entry from a Queensland medical school, with a longstanding commitment to academic excellence and mentoring. I was Brisbane State High School Captain and Dux of Modern History with an ATAR of 99.90, and have consistently maintained high academic standards throughout both school and university.
Alongside my medical training, I have 5 years of school-level tutoring and 3 years of university tutoring experience. I also hold formal teaching accreditation and have received multiple writing awards. These experiences have shaped a structured, disciplined and outcomes-focused approach to education.

My approach to tutoring is structured, results-focused and experienced. I work primarily with senior secondary students (Years 10–12) in English and History who are aiming for high-level academic performance. Sessions are designed for capable students who want to refine analytical thinking and strengthen examination technique, distinguishing themselves from classmates who rely on AI writing tools.
Each lesson is typically 60 minutes. We begin by identifying specific assessment or exam goals, then break down the required skills into manageable components. For essay-based subjects, I emphasise argument structure, clarity of expression, evidence integration and examiner-focused strategy. Students receive direct, constructive feedback and clear action points for improvement between sessions.
My lessons are best suited to motivated senior students seeking distinction-level outcomes. For students considering medicine, I offer informed mentorship on long-term academic preparation.
