About Katherine
With a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and over six years of experience teaching Honors and AP Chemistry at a top private high school, I specialize in helping students achieve outstanding results — and even more importantly, real understanding. I’ve worked with students at every level, from those who are struggling to those aiming for perfect AP scores, and I know that Chemistry can seem intimidating at first. My passion is helping students realize that they're capable of mastering hard things — and that with the right support, Chemistry becomes far more approachable (and even fun!). I offer support for all levels of high school Chemistry — from introductory courses to advanced AP — as well as college-level General Chemistry I and II. Whether you need help building confidence, strengthening problem-solving skills, or preparing for the AP exam, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I offer support for all levels of high school Chemistry — from introductory courses to advanced AP — as well as college-level General Chemistry I and II. Every student is different — and I believe the best tutoring meets them exactly where they are. In our sessions, I allow students to guide the direction based on their immediate needs, whether that’s homework help, test prep, or strengthening core concepts. Early on, I work to establish a baseline understanding of their skills and knowledge, which allows me to tailor lessons, practice problems, and strategies specifically to them. Whether a student needs to rebuild their foundation from the ground up or simply needs a cheerleader to boost their confidence and refine their skills, I adjust my approach to fit their goals. Once we’ve built a strong working relationship, I also take a proactive approach, introducing upcoming topics early to give them a head start and even greater confidence in class.
