About Akani
Hello! My name is Raymond, and I'm an experienced and dedicated music instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience. As a musician, I have played various genres of music, ranging from rock, blues, jazz, to classical, and modern. My passion for music drove me to teach, and I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to express themselves through music.
I see my role as a teacher not only to teach the intricacies of the guitar, but also to help students develop a deeper understanding of music theory, which will improve their musical skills and enable them to explore more genres of music. I believe that music has the power to transform lives and bring people together, and I hope to share this experience with my students.
As an instructor, I strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment for my students to learn and thrive. I understand that everyone is unique, and I strive to tailor my instruction to each individual's needs and goals. I also believe in encouraging students to challenge themselves by trying new techniques and genres of music, so they can fully explore the possibilities of music.

As a music teacher, I've had the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of music. Whether you are a beginner or experienced musician, I want to share a few tips that have helped me on my musical journey.
First, believe in yourself. The key to success in music, or any field, is believing in yourself and your abilities. Don't let any doubts that may arise discourage you or prevent you from pursuing your passion. Remember that everyone starts from somewhere, and with practice and perseverance, you can achieve great things.
Second, be open to learning and experimenting. The beauty of music is that there are no wrong answers. Keep an open mind and be ready to try new things. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and explore new genres or techniques. This will not only widen your musical knowledge but also help you develop your own sound.
