About Eric
3rd year Bachelor of Fine Arts Music Undergraduate from York University. Studied piano for 15 years. Composed music for over 12 years. Accompanied choirs, bands, and soloists for 8 years. Have many experiences with competitions, recitals, concerts, and special event performances. Taught piano for 5 years. Taught music theory for 6 years. Has a grade 8 RCM certificate. Studying ARCT piano, and training to receive grade 10 RCM certificate. Lots of experience with students of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and skill levels. Have students who have gotten first place in local competitions as well as get honors and above in RCM exams.

My teaching methods include teaching students self-disciplinary skills, music theory, important skills, piano technique, and homework that is engaging, easily understood, and practical for building fundamental skills. Also, my teaching methods change with varying students. ie. Most older students will be taught with different discipline and skills. Younger students will have a gentler and easier approach when learning. Most of their lessons will be focused on gaining appreciation and enjoyment of music rather than focusing on the technical aspects of music. Then, for older more experienced musicians I will introduce them to much more complex topics to piano performance, music theory, interpretation, artistry and technique. I like to accommodate every class to each student in a personalized way. This will allow all students to learn the best they can and work with their strengths while overcoming weaknesses.

Can offer lessons in Cantonese option too.
Cancellation upon the hour when the lesson takes place will not be refunded. Latest time to cancel a lesson is 3 hours before the lesson.
The usual rate of class:
$30 / hour for adult beginners
$25 / 45 minutes for young beginner students
$40 / hour for RCM students.
$45 / hour for RCM students learning music theory as well.
***Price can be negotiated of student's family have financial problems. Please contact me upon request for a lower price option. Cash, check are only excepted payments.
