About Emily
I have taught 4th and fifth grade language arts and social studies for 10 years. I have my masters in reading from Towson University! I have taught students who are below grade level all the way up to students who are identified gifted! I love to be outside and have two children of my own. I am a very outgoing person and have a lot of personality!

My lessons will be geared to a student or group of students needs. I am very familiar with test prep and preparing students for their end of the year assessments. I have developed a multiple choice test question organizer and it allows/ helps students work through the question. Students have to use the acronym “HACKED”. It allows students to understand not only what the question is asking, how to identify the wrong answers, then how to select the correct answer using evidence from the text. I use challenging texts with higher level question so if needed, or work with students who need below grade level help as well.
