  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

    This question takes me back to what feels like a lifetime ago!
    In 2011 I was invited to attend the grand opening of a Pole Dance Studio where I could try classes for free. It was so much harder than I anticipated!
    I fell in love with the atmosphere and community of women working together to achieve personal goals.
    Eventually, an opportunity came for me to apply for an instructor position. I worked hard in the training and developed a desire to learn more!
    I went back to college in my mid 20's to study Health, Wellness & Fitness so I could expand my knowledge and become a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in other forms.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

    I love any and every opportunity to meet someone new!
    I genuinely enjoy learning about who you are, listening to your wants, and working alongside you to determine your needs for a personalized program.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

    It's such an uplifting experience to be a part of someone's journey towards living a happier, healthier lifestyle.
    Knowing that I get to encourage positive changes in the lives of my clients, and watch them transform over the weeks, months and years is what truly motivates me to be an instructor.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

    I would have to dedicate this answer to all the professors I had during my 2 years in the Health, Wellness & Fitness course at Mohawk College. They were fantastic, they loved passing on their knowledge and skills.
    I also must say that Sofia Venanzetti has been an inspiration to me from day one. She is dedicated, influential and beautiful inside and out.
  • What are your keys to success?

    In terms of why I think I am successful as an instructor would be because I believe I am relatable, I am always asking questions and I love to educate while we are in a session together.

    In terms of client success I believe the 3 top keys to success are:
    1) Determine your why.
    Why do you want to exercise? Why do you want to make changes?
    Asking yourself questions will help you to set accurate goals.
    Accurate Goals will motivate you to keep pushing forward.

    2) Pace yourself.
    Understand that change takes time. Dedication take time.
    Everything will come into alignment but you cannot expect it to happen
    overnight.
    Keep a journal to be open and honest with yourself and your trainer.

    3) Accountability.
    Whether you are working with a trainer or not, accountability
    is the best way to keep yourself motivated.
    Ask friend or relative to join you in workouts.
    A trainer is your tool for success, utilize that tool as much as you can for
    the best results.
