About Tolu
I achieved 11 A*/9-A at GCSEs, including 9s in English Literature and English Langauge. I then went on to study English Literature at A-Level, where I dropped 2 marks across all of the exams, achieving an A*. I have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge following 3 years of studying Law.
During my time at Cambridge, I mentored 4 prospective students who all gained places to study Law and Human, Social and Political Sciences. I have also helped a number of students gain places in top corporate internships.

I approach each topic according to the immediate and long-range needs of the student, whether they require help in comprehending their topic, in preparing for exams, or in planning, executing, and proofing written work.
I understand that there is no effective one-size-fits-all approach to learning so I adapt my teaching style based on your goals for our sessions - whether that's aiming to pass an exam that you're dreading or aiming to explore a subject you are passionate about further.
For any given first session I like to get to know the student, find out where they're at in their course of study, and see what their current working methods are like. Usually, talking about the current piece of homework, the next upcoming exam, or due assignment is a great way to gauge their requirements, assess where my help is most needed, and thus collaboratively devise a joint programme of work. Based on these considerations, my sessions can run between one and two hours.
