About Sazid Akhter
I have a long experience of teaching mathematics to students for school purposes and also for maths olympiad preparation. I used to be a regular mentor at Bangladesh national maths camps where some of my students have gone to the international level and even got medals at IMO (International Mathematical Olympiad). I also helped school students in their maths class at a school in the UK.

When it comes to teaching maths, I focus on two crucial points:
(1) Conceptualisation
(2) Problem-solving
I try to help someone go through the process of understanding a new concept like I would do myself and give them enough problems to brainstorm! To me it is more crucial to go through the unsolved problems together and try to come up with the solving process rather than teaching the process itself in the first place. This is, in my opinion, the best way to teach and learn mathematics. But in any case, I would love to be flexible and adapt to a student's own learning ability and preference.

Perfect! Sazid is a very good tutor and has been able to explain the concepts required for successfully solving STEP questions in a concise yet rigorous manner. He has been able to push me to improve my problem solving skills in mathematics and I find STEP questions much more accessible after applying his guidance. I would strongly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a competent tutor!
