About Amna
I studied Chemistry in secondary school through to Advanced Higher, achieving A's in Nat 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
I began my Integrated Masters degree in Chemistry at the University of St. Andrews in 2018 and graduated in 2023 with a 1st Class MChem (Hons).
I have tutored periodically throughout my time at University and enjoy helping students progress and achieve their grade goals.

Having studied Chemistry for over 10 years in secondary school and University, I have become very experienced in different techniques of study for different areas of Chemistry - which I test out with students to help find the best fit for their individual needs.
I like to create a fun and interesting environment in my lessons so that students enjoy learning chemical concepts and are not as daunted by past paper questions in the lead up to exams. I focus on both general conceptual understanding and more specific exam technique so that students actually understand what they are writing down and not just memorising from rote - aiding them in any future study of chemistry.
I am familiar with the current SQA Chemistry course structure and I am able to use my own personal experience and familiarity with the course content in order to create the most effective lesson plans.
