About Nicholas
My passion lies in developing personal study methods and independent learning. I have spent the last 8 years focused on my own continual improvement and now wish to pass on my techniques to others. Since starting my GCSEs, through self-motivation and dedicated research, I have risen from a below-average student to top of my class. I have recently graduated from Brunel University with a 1st class honours in Mechanical Engineering and am taking a gap year before entering an engineering career. My degree along with my A levels in Maths and Physics have provided me with a deep understanding of the subjects I teach.

The structure of my tutoring is completely personalised for each student's requirements. Whole courses can be taught or just an individual topic. Whereas all my lessons are primarily designed to teach a student how to study, I will always ensure the student leaves with a strong sense of understanding of the subject. From my previous experiences tutoring my peers at university, I have learnt how to play on the student's assets in order to positively motivate them in lessons. Assisting in secondary school maths lessons has taught me how to properly structure lessons and make them fun and enjoyable for the student. The subjects I teach primarily include Maths (including further maths and statistics) and Physics up to A level but also cover GCSEs and Key Stages 2 and 3. Calculus and algebra are specialities and I can cover these topics at all levels from introduction to advanced levels. I have a large library of resources including websites, YouTube channels and textbooks at my disposal to assist in learning. A strong foundation in my subjects makes me highly adaptable to any syllabus or course structure. I can also provide advice on personal statements and CVs.

I have known Nicholas since 2014 when he joined Brunel as a UG student in the course, Mechanical and Energy Engineering MEng course for which i am the Director. Nicholas has been top student and very keen to learn and apply the knowledge gained. He did excellently well in his overall degree attaining 1st class honours. He is very honest and trustworthy and has always delivered tasks (such as assignments and projects) on time. His punctuality is exceptional. I strongly recommend him for the job of a tutor and will be happy to answer any further queries about him, should there be any.
I would highly recommend Nick as a tutor as he was very enthusiastic and explained everything very easily. If I ever needed a maths or physics tutor I would definitely go back to him.
