About Hazel
Having just graduated, I'm keen to share my knowledge in a meaningful way, helping others achieve their goals. More about me: during summer holidays I've worked as a home care worker, landscaper and waitress. Alongside my studies, I have also volunteered with students with specialist educational needs, led peer support groups for university students with ADHD, learnt to row and even taught friends the piano, which is what first inspired me to become a tutor! Outside of tutoring, I love sport, from running, cycling and triathlons to hiking up mountains, as well as relaxing with a good book. Finally, as a neurodivergent person myself, I understand that learning doesn’t look the same for everyone. I aim to create a supportive, patient and flexible environment where every student can feel understood and able to thrive.

I love helping pupils go from ‘I can’t do this’ to ‘I’ve got it! I’m an approachable and patient tutor who loves seeing pupils grow in confidence, especially in topics they’ve previously struggled with. I tutor A-Level and GCSE Geography and GCSE Maths, two subjects I’m passionate about because they help us make sense of the world, whether through problem-solving with numbers or exploring how people and places shape our lives. In our 45-60 minute lessons, I will work hard to create sessions that are fun, varied, interactive, and fully tailored to each pupil’s goals. My aim is always to build understanding step by step, boost confidence, and help pupils realise what they’re capable of. I have a TEFL qualification, which has provided me with skills to structure and deliver lessons and work well with any pupil. I’m really looking forward to supporting you on your learning journey and helping you feel confident, motivated, and ready to succeed.
