About Bhoomika
I am a recent graduate in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a strong interest in biology and lifelong learning. I’ve always been someone who likes to understand the “why” behind concepts, not just memorize them. I take a student-centered approach to biology tutoring, focusing on breaking down complex topics into simple, intuitive concepts using visuals, analogies, and active recall techniques. A typical lesson begins with a quick review of prior material, followed by targeted instruction on the topic, guided practice problems, and a short recap to reinforce understanding. I also incorporate frequent check-ins to ensure concepts are fully understood before moving on. What sets me apart is my ability to adapt explanations to different learning styles and help students build long-term retention rather than memorization. My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and early college students studying biology, including general biology, cell biology, genetics, and introductory pre-med coursework.
