About Julia
Starting in the fall, I will be attending Duke University to pursue my Ph.D. in organic chemistry. I love teaching and helping students master challenging material, which is why I seek a career in academia. From my undergraduate institution, I have 2+ years of tutoring experience, I have been awarded at numerous conferences, and have presented my research in the classroom. My ultimate goal in tutoring is to establish student independence and confidence so they know they can do hard things, just as I have done!

I enjoy letting the student take control of the session. Whatever content they want to cover, we'll cover it together. I seek to build student confidence in independence so that they feel ready to tackle problems come test day. My lessons are targeted towards college-level general chemistry and organic chemistry students.
