About DaUn
My name is DaUn Chang. I majored in music with a focus on jazz piano from Hunter College. I grew up playing the piano my whole life and was rigorously trained in the classical realm of music. I realized earlier on that performance was not something I valued as highly as proper music education, so I took more time investing in teaching those around me and it led me to a healthier musical journey. I currently teach privately mostly at the beginner-intermediate level, and also work as a piano accompanist at Hunter College supporting the new students there with their music.

The fundamentals are going to be the most important thing when it comes to the longevity of piano playing. Many students when first starting do not learn the proper technique and posture which is highly valued in professional music settings. Our lessons will cover the basics of piano playing and music theory to help students better understand what they are reading and playing on the page. These lessons will be most valuable at the beginner to intermediate level.
