About Jacob
I work full time as an Educational Support Aide in Melvindale, MI, working with a large array of students. I graduated from Northern Michigan University in May of 2025 with honors. I am a passionate learner and teacher-- I always believe there is more that could be learned!

I am a recent graduate of Northern Michigan University, so I am passionate to teach others what I have learned, and I am familiar with updated styles of teaching as it relates to the AI age.
My pedagogy focuses on the needs of individual students, prioritizing essential concepts as opposed to individual assignments.
I encourage students to create their own work and seldom-- if ever-- use generative AI as part of my teaching. I believe that AI is a tool that should only be used in rare circumstances, like assisting you in sourcing a primary source document.
I currently work full time as an educational support aide in the CTE department at Mel-Nap Highschool, where I assist students with coding, construction, engineering, nursing and anatomy. A majority of my students are ESL learners, so I also assist in translating at times.
