About Jacob
I recently completed a Mathematical Sciences degree at the University of Bath, with specialism in statistics. I am passionate about both applied and statistical mathematics, and have completed work experience in teaching and financial accounting. I am incredibly responsible, hardworking, and ambitious, with skills in computing and leadership to complement my academic proficiency.
Having achieved a level 9 in GCSE maths and accomplished A*A*A in maths, further maths and physics A-levels, I continued my studies at degree level and attained a 2:1 from the University of Bath. I have an extremely effective learning style and am keen to share this with mentees through tutoring.
During my studies I developed a particular fascination with real-world applications of mathematics, such as predicting outcomes using statistical approaches, or creating a mathematical model on how to prevent disease from spreading throughout a population. I would love also to share my appreciation and fascination for applied mathematics with students of any level!

As a 2023 graduate, I am familiar with the content of the current syllabuses at GCSE and A-level for various exam boards, and am particularly well equipped to tutor due to my insight into those topics which regularly cause confusion with students.
