About Izyk
As a recent high school graduate looking forward to continuing my educational journey this fall, I have really enjoyed this past school year with my time as a math tutor. I am looking to continue to add to that pursuit by adding to the number of students I can help with a subject that I am very passionate and accomplished at. Math has always been a concept that has come easy for me, and my 3rd grade teacher has been the inspiration for me to teach others. While my 6th grade math teacher was the one who recognized my ability to excel in math and encouraged me to join the accelerated math program that my school district offered, he also showed me that using my talent to help others also helps me. I hope to share this love of math with as many students as possible just as it was shared with me!

My approach to tutoring begins with the student's needs. When a student comes to me needing help, I take into consideration where the student is starting out, look at the goal that is being sought out, and then together, come up with a very specific game plan. If along the way we discover that the game plan isn't working, then together we re-evaluate the process and pivot until the student is achieving academically as well as feeling confident and accomplished enough to move forward.
What truly sets me apart as a tutor is the fact that I'm a math prodigy, young enough to connect with my students, but focused enough to prioritize my students' needs for academic success. I hope to work with anyone needing help in math regardless of whether it is for elementary, middle, high school, or even some college level math.
