About Irina
I recently completed Year 13 at Roedean School as an international student. I took part in some competitions, achieving
- Bronze in the Intermediate Biology Olympiad
- Highly Commended in the British Biology Olympiad
Outside academics, I enjoy swimming (especially sea swimming), playing piano, and taking part in different sports - netball, running.
I enjoy teaching Biology because I struggled with exam technique at the beginning, and once I developed a better understanding, I made progress quicker. I want to help others do the same thing.

I offer concept explanation for multiple exam boards and exam technique focusing mainly on Edexcel-B. My lessons focus mainly on:
- Understanding biological processes rather than relying purely on memorisation
- Breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable ideas
- Developing exam technique, including understanding mark schemes and structuring answers effectively
- Practising exam-style questions
I can adapt the lessons, according to needs, goals and gaps in the knowledge.
