About Thomas
I am a recent Cambridge Engineering graduate, specializing in aerospace and aerothermal engineering. I achieved a first in my BA, distinction in my MEng and was awarded the Frank Marriott senior scholarship for examination performance. When not studying I enjoy being outside and am a keen climber and hiker.

I enjoy sharing my passion for my subjects through fun and collaborative sessions. After discussing with students about their aims and objectives for the session we work towards identifying any areas of difficulty. I will then cover the relevant content, making sure students have a strong grasp of the fundamentals before we progress to harder topics.
The best way to learn maths is by doing, so throughout sessions I work with students on example problems encouraging them to get involved whilst passing along my exam tips and tricks. Maths often feels like an abstract subject for many, so I enjoy exploring practical applications through fun and interesting examples to help students better understand content and explain why the principles we cover are so useful.
I have successfully used these methods to tutor students at both GCSE and A-level and also applied them to my own academic study. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and would look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can help.
