About Maddy

Hi! I’m currently a gap year student with a strong passion for teaching English, and I’m excited to help you improve your skills. Alongside tutoring, I work as a nanny and an SEN (Special Educational Needs) tutor, which has deepened my love for working with children and young adults. I genuinely enjoy seeing my students grow and gain confidence in their abilities, and knowing that I’ve contributed to their learning journey makes me so happy. My goal as a tutor is not just to help you succeed academically but also to make English engaging and enjoyable. I believe in making lessons interactive and tailored to each student’s unique learning style, whether it’s through writing, reading, or critical analysis. I want to help you feel more confident in your English skills, and together, we’ll work toward your goals in a supportive, positive environment.

As a gap year student with AAA A Levels, including A*s in English and Religious Studies, I offer a personalised and approachable tutoring style that helps students feel at ease. I quickly build connections as a young person myself with the students I work with, ensuring that we create a comfortable and focused learning environment right from the start. This connection allows me to understand their specific needs and adapt my teaching methods accordingly, whether it's breaking down complex concepts or offering extra support in areas where they may be struggling.
