About Disha
I am someone who is very passionate about Maths, and hopes to spread my love for the subject to students by being a patient, friendly and enthusiastic mentor. I enjoy tutoring because of the fulfilment that comes from leaving a positive impact on others by sharing my own knowledge. It is a pleasure to watch a student grow in confidence as they progress further and further.
I value clear communication throughout the tutoring process, and my main priority is to be as supportive as I can be to your learning.

I understand that every individual student will have different goals and abilities that I hope to cater my lessons to fit after getting to know the student and openly discussing plans. A typical lesson would last 1 hour. Maths is a subject which requires good understanding to approach problems, so in lessons I would ensure the student has developed understanding of concepts before exposing them to a large variety of questions styles on each topic to allow them to practice application of the theory.
I have experience tutoring 1 to 1 both online via zoom and in person for students ranging from ages 7 - 17, studying in primary school/GCSE/A-Level. I have 2 years of experience teaching as a higher level Maths mentor in Kumon, and being a Kumon Maths completer my understanding of Maths is very strong.
During my GCSEs, I received 10 grade 9s and 1 grade 8 with Maths, Further Maths and all the sciences being a grade 9. I achieved 4 A*s in my A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry, proving I have an in-depth understanding in Maths and that I am capable of teaching it to students successfully.
