About Nicolette
I am an incoming freshman at NYU and a recent high honor roll graduate awarded with the honor of AP Scholar with Distinction. I am a native and fluently bilingual Greek and English speaker who has a penchant for languages which has aided me in succeeding in my over six years of French studies. I have served as an officer of my school’s National French Honor Society, been awarded high honors for my French as well as annually receiving awards for my grade on the national Grand Concours examination. I also have a deep love and knowledge base of French history and culture dating back to the Middle Ages as well as a background in French art history (having also taken AP Art History). In my free time, I actively immerse myself in the language - whether it be through consistently watching French films, reading French novels and plays, and having my phone set to French.

I can work with students both in general reading and writing activities through the use of textbooks and accessible French classics. We can work on listening and speaking my having full conversations in French and discussing French films/audios with one another. I will also provide students with a supplementary list of reading, movie, tv, music and book recommendations that personally helped me improve on pronunciation, listening, and more native/colloquial speaking.
