About Caitlin
IntoUniversity: Volunteer Mentor. From January 2020 I have been volunteering with this charity. My role involves one-to-one mentoring and participating in large group activities, such as university tours. I organise lesson plans prior to having weekly sessions with my mentee, in which we discuss their personal goals for their future, social and academic self. As a result of Covid-19, I adapted this work to complete online video sessions through the efficient use of Microsoft Teams. Through this volunteering, I have completed my DBS check.
Think Pacific: Volunteer Teacher. I lived for 4 weeks in a rural village in Fiji, where I taught in a school five days a week. My time was dedicated to tutoring children in English and Maths, whilst also running extra curriculum activities, such as sports. My communication and leadership skills were useful during my time with Think Pacific. I communicated with a range of stakeholders including other volunteers, teachers, students and parents. I planned and ran engaging lessons.
George Abbot School: A-Levels and GCSEs. I achieved an A* in Psychology, A* in English Literature and A in Sociology in my A-Levels in 2016. I also achieved 10 A*-C GCSEs including English and Maths.

I provide tutoring for A-Levels, GCSEs and other secondary school age groups. I base my lessons upon each individual student's needs, assessing what areas they struggle with and how to overcome these. I also aim to assist with preparation for exams. I enjoy providing one-to-one tutoring as I believe this offers an opportunity to provide each student with proper support.
