About Danielle
I taught for 33 years, all at the same (local) high school. I taught algebra and yearbook/newspaper. Early in my career I also coached. The key to success in any math course is making sure the student actually understands why or what something means instead of memorizing some shortcut without having any idea how it works. With comprehension, the student does not need to memorize.

My first step is to establish what foundational skills, if any, are weak or missing and build those. Only then would I begin to work on specific curriculum with the understanding that depending on understanding, we may have to move back and forth to establish comprehension of specific components.
