About Brenda
I am an educator, a woman in recovery, and originally from New York City. I have been on the path of recovery for 19 years. Through rigorous inner work and with the help of supportive community, I am sober from co-dependency, love and fantasy addiction, screen addiction and I have not drank alcohol since 2011. I do NOT miss any of it. My life today is filled with joy, dignity, sanity, and creative expression: dance, music playing, creative writing, and cooking (the Ayurvedic way). As a veteran educator, who has worked in amazing independent schools, I have a heart for humans. I want to teach others how to get free of addictions, false belief systems, and how to heal the inner core. I recently completed 60 hours of Continued Education (CEU) on breath-work, and will incorporate it into my coaching. Healing is a path, and it is possible to become progressively healthy.

I bring 19+ years of Recovery experience and have broken free of many addictive and compulsive dependencies. I can support you if you need and WANT extra accountability, someone who can guide you through the process of recovery, and teach you how to substitute the time and energy devoted to addictions with the activities and behaviors you want to adopt and embody. This is a spiritual approach (not religious), but it is about you coming to know your highest self. I bring breath work, gentle yoga modalities, affirmation work, and a step-by-step process to support you. I also bring more than a decade experience as an educator. I bring a compassionate care approach. You are not alone! This is for anyone trying to break away from addiction to love and fantasy; co-dependency; alcohol; compulsive screen use. (If you are someone struggling with hard narcotic dependency, I will NOT be able to help you as that is beyond my experience, but help is out there).
