About Jess
Hi, I’m Jess! I’m a registered nurse with over 10 years of clinical experience, specialising in critical care, and I currently work as an undergraduate medical lecturer.
I’m passionate about helping students build their knowledge, develop their clinical skills and, most importantly, grow in confidence. I remember what it was like starting out in healthcare, and I understand that putting theory into practice can sometimes feel daunting. I want to make learning feel less overwhelming by creating a relaxed, supportive environment where you can ask questions, work through difficult topics and learn at your own pace, without feeling afraid to get things wrong.
As a mum of two little ones, with a dog and a rabbit keeping me busy at home, I know how important it is to make the most of your time! Outside of work, I love music, travelling and Lord of the Rings!
I bring my experience from both clinical practice and medical education into my teaching, with a focus on making complex topics easier to understand and showing how knowledge applies to real-life clinical situations. I tailor my approach to each student, whether you need help revising key concepts, preparing for assessments or feeling more confident on placement.

My approach to tutoring is friendly, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I use practical examples, case-based discussions and interactive teaching to help students develop their clinical knowledge, reasoning and confidence. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with content adapted to the student’s goals and areas for development.
I am a registered nurse with over 10 years of clinical experience, specialising in critical care, and have experience in undergraduate medical and nursing lecturing. I offer tutoring for undergraduate nursing and medical students, including support with clinical placements, history taking, clinical assessments, exam preparation and applying theory to practice.
