About Michael
Hi, I'm Michael, a Year 12 student at Reigate Grammar School studying Maths, Physics and Computer Science at A-level. I achieved grade 8s in all three subjects at GCSE and am currently predicted A* grades across the board.
I decided to start tutoring because I genuinely enjoy making difficult concepts click for someone else. I still remember exactly what it felt like to sit those GCSE exams, and that shapes how I teach — I'm patient, approachable and focused entirely on what works for the student in front of me.
Outside of school I compete in track athletics at a regional level, and I also build PCs and develop games in my spare time — so if your child is taking Computer Science, I bring a genuine passion for the subject beyond just the textbook.
I tutor locally in the Reigate area, keep my rates affordable and am happy to update parents on progress after each session.

I am a Year 12 A-level student at Reigate Grammar School, currently studying Maths, Physics and Computer Science with predicted A* grades, having achieved grade 8s in all three subjects at GCSE. The material is completely fresh in my mind, meaning I know exactly what examiners are looking for and the mistakes to avoid.
My lessons are tailored to the individual student. I begin by identifying gaps in knowledge and areas of weakness — though if you can flag these in advance, even better, as it means we can dive straight into learning and make the most of our time together. I start with worked examples to build a solid initial understanding, before moving into past paper questions to cement that knowledge and build exam confidence. I believe patience is key — no question is too small or too simple.
Sessions typically run between 45 and 60 minutes. I find this is the sweet spot — beyond that, the knowledge from our time together starts to fade rather than stick.
My tutoring is aimed at KS3 and GCSE students (ages 11–16) in Maths, Physics and Computer Science. Whether you are struggling with the basics or pushing for a top grade, I am happy to help. As a current A-level student, I know firsthand the stress that GCSE exams bring, and I am passionate about helping others come out the other side with brilliant grades.
