This document outlines my teaching method: the multisensory approach. This methodology will use visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic modalities in equal measure. This approach, especially at the early stage of learning, offers the best chance of success for each student.
One of the most important ways to introduce reading is to use visuals. Flashcards, board illustrations, and similar tools help connect the word on the page with the word as it is spoken.
Interactive exercises are another way to teach reading. Puzzles and games both encourage students to read while having fun, which is an effective way to build confidence and engage the learner.
