About Ewan
I am a friendly undergraduate Maths student currently undertaking a degree in Maths at the University of York and I have a real passion for Maths and Maths education. I have previous experience tutoring GCSE and A level Maths and have helped many people to increase their grades. Next year I will be in York doing my PGCE so I can become a qualified teacher; to prepare myself for this I have undertaken several teaching assistant placements at local schools around York. I gained a lot of experience with helping students who were struggling with Maths and familiarizing myself with the new GCSE format. I have also volunteered with a club that helps students who excel at Maths push themselves and an after school revision session for students who are falling behind.

My tutoring style is to help you identify weaknesses in your own maths knowledge and work together to come up with a plan to remedy this. I want to help you not only pass your current exams but develop your own strategies so that you can be an even better student going into the future. I am a big believer that no one is inherently bad at Mathematics and with structured deliberate practice anyone can succeed.
