About Matt
I have demonstrated a commitment to working with individuals who require some extra academic assistance to be the best they can be. I have previously mentored at least half a dozen students in Religious Studies (Philosophy and Ethics) at Sixth Form College, as well as establishing good working relationships with individual pupils and groups of pupils during several voluntary primary school placements. I appreciate that essay writing can be challenging at times and could also help with essay writing technique and improving structure, particularly as some of my Sixth Form College and University essays have been used as model exemplars.

I am passionate about English Literature and Religious Studies and I am dedicated to helping students develop their skills and understanding in these subjects. I am well qualified to tutor students in English from KS2 through to A Level, having received an A* in English Literature A Level, achieving 100% in my exam. I am also well qualified to tutor students in Religious Studies through to A Level, as I have recently graduated from the University of Birmingham gaining a First class degree with honours in Religion and Theology. I have an up-to date DBS check.
I believe in unlocking the amazing potential of young people and understand that everyone learns differently. I will adapt my tutoring to suit the needs and learning styles of students. I recognise that everyone learns differently and the importance of differentiation to ensure that different learning styles are catered for. I use a combination one-to-one discussion and questioning along with using modelling strategies and interactive media to develop key skills.
