About Shiva
I am a PhD researcher and former Marie Curie Fellow with a strong background in renewable energy and applied physics. My research has focused on solar energy conversion and electrocatalysis for sustainable fuels, and I have several years of experience in academic and research environments across Europe. Beyond research, I enjoy teaching and helping students connect scientific concepts with real-world energy challenges. I have taught and mentored students from various backgrounds — from high school learners discovering physics for the first time, to university students exploring advanced topics in energy systems. As a tutor, my approach is clear, structured, and encouraging. I aim to make complex topics understandable and exciting by using real examples from modern renewable energy technologies. My goal is not only to improve your grades, but also to help you see how science shapes the future of clean energy.

My lessons focus on renewable energy systems, with a particular emphasis on solar energy and electrocatalysis. Drawing on my background as a Marie Curie Fellow and PhD researcher in energy engineering, I help students understand both the scientific principles and the real-world applications behind sustainable energy technologies. In our sessions, we will explore topics such as: • Fundamentals of solar cells and energy conversion • Principles of electrochemistry and electrocatalysis for clean fuels • Physics concepts relevant to energy generation and storage • Discussion of recent advances in renewable technologies Lessons are tailored to your level and interests — whether you want to strengthen your understanding of physics, prepare for exams, or learn more about the future of sustainable energy. I use visual explanations, real research examples, and problem-based learning to make complex ideas simple and engaging. Sessions are online, flexible, and ideal for GCSE, college, or university students interested in green technologies and applied physics.
