About Gourab
I am a PhD scholar from Jadavpur University, with over 10 years of teaching experience across three reputed engineering institutions where I served as an Assistant Professor. Alongside my academic journey, I have also gained valuable industry exposure—currently working as a Design Engineer in a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), and having previously contributed as a Researcher at Tata Steel. This blend of teaching and industrial experience allows me to connect theory with real-world applications in a unique way.

Teaching Philosophy
My absolute motive is to render knowledge in the most lucid and engaging way. I firmly believe that every student has the potential to excel when concepts are explained with clarity and patience. My goal is to make subjects as simple and accessible as possible, ensuring that there is no disparity between the so‑called "good" and "average" students.

My Aim
To empower students with confidence in their subject, nurture curiosity, and help them achieve academic success through conceptual clarity and practical understanding.
Teaching aid: lecture and notes on specific topics. (I emphasize more on understanding the topic rather than mere learning from notes and encourage the students to prepare their own notes). Tentative structure: introduction to the topics with practical day-to-day examples, along with their applications (if possible) and necessity. Target students: my lecture sessions are mainly targeted for the bachelor students (mechanical engineering). Diploma students are equally welcome.
