About Antonia
I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Chemistry and have been tutoring for the past 6 years. I have taught students ranging from GCSE students to adult learners reentering education and I tutor in the sciences and maths. I am also bilingual and speak German fluently.

I am a methodical tutor - I like to ensure students have a solid grasp of each topic before moving on. For science and maths subjects, in particular, it is important that students understand the fundamentals upon which advanced topics can be built. This enables students to make their own connections between topics and leads to a greater level of understanding than just simple recall.
I like to focus on teaching study methods that can be applied broadly across subjects and encourage my students to try different techniques until they find a technique that works for them. I don't like to focus purely on writing answers for exam-style questions although that is an aspect of tutoring which can be effective. I like to challenge students to think differently about what they are learning and what it means in a broader view, ultimately guiding them to have success with their subjects.

Antonia's ability to be patient and accurate with her teaching is incredible. I have seen this over and over again during this teach from home lockdown period. She has so much patience with our daughter (7yo) and makes learning fun and engaging for her. She is easy to talk to, friendly and bubbly but always keeps on task and works in a methodical way. Antonia has a great amount of knowledge in science, as well as being fluent in English and German. I have learned so much from her and couldn't recommend her enough.
Antonia is amazing at Chemistry and has a natural talent for teaching others! She has always been outstanding in her own education and helped me pass my Chemistry A-levels. She is a lovely person as well, would 10/10 recommend!
