About Arshi
I'm a postgraduate researcher in radio and stellar astronomy at University of Manchester, Jodrell Bank Center of Astrophysics. Currently, working on my thesis project based on- L-band of radio frequency spectrum. I also work part time as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in python labs in computer engineering department. I did my graduation in Physics honours and have been among the top 5 students in my class. I had worked on a project at Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), as a Summer Research Fellow, offered by Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore. I am an astronomy and astrophysics enthusiast. I like teaching as it is a powerful tool to learning. The more you teach or share your knowledge, the better you learn. I believe that in order to gain knowledge on a subject, one must practise and theorise the topic as much as needed. I prioritize authenticity in my work and create an interactive environment in the class.

My teaching methods are flexible based on the understanding of the students. I take up all the doubts first, make a study plan for the classes and then proceed with the sessions as per the student's pace of understanding. I would also be providing handwritten/ digitised notes for respective topics taught in class. I am teaching astronomy from basics to advance level, for all ages. For particular lessons on stellar astronomy, I would focus on theory of stellar structure and evolution and depending on demand can go through introduction to radio astronomy. I believe that in order to gain knowledge on a subject, one must practise and theorise the topic as much as needed.
